SCL has a dedicated community team, who work with a wide range of partners to engage and positively impact individuals and communities.
"Provision of leisure services, and physical activity, have long been recognised to contribute to people's health & well-being.
Since Covid, the need for such activity, that addresses not just physical fitness, but mental health and even issues such as raising employment aspirations, has increased dramatically.
We are proud to work to address such issues and are always open to more opportunities to positively impact the local community "

Understanding SIV (Social Impact Value) Calculation
Have you ever wondered how the impact of physical activity on the national economy is measured? SIV (Social Impact Value) is a monetary value assigned to the social and economic benefits of physical activity.
To calculate SIV, we use NICE guidelines which assign a value to Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALY). Physical activity is a major contributory factor to QALY, which allows us to calculate the value of physical activity and SIV.
By understanding SIV, we can better measure the impact of physical activity on our community.
